I have to cover my face and head with a scarf everyday, which often times means wearing them for 12+ hours while outside or at work. I used to tie a polyester bandana over my nose and mouth, but I decided I wanted to switch to silk due to health concerns over breathing in plastic. I am so glad I switched to using this silk scarf!

I can feel the difference from the “silk like” scarves – this one is real silk, and you can feel it in how soft it is! The polyester dupes are not flexible, and they would hurt my nose after a few hours. They appeared the same as silk, but it doesn’t compare to this scarf, which leaves my face feeling soft, comfortable and moisturized after a long day of use.

I can tell this is real silk, and at this price point it’s compatible to the polyester fakes so it’s a no brainer! It’s a unisex scarf so anyone can wear it easily, men or women!

Update: 1 month later, I am wearing this scarf literally everyday as my face veil and I absolutely love how soft and comfortable it is. It feels so soft and gentle on my face even after being worn all day. It’s not the thickest, so going into winter I sometimes need to tie a second scarf over my face while outside, but I would always recommend wearing this under any face mask or balaclava for optimal comfort.

I have purchased many scarves on Amazon, many of them silk, and more than a few from this very listing. I also use silk for other art projects as I am a fiber artist that works specifically in silk.
The quality of the scarves is very nice. I can attest that they are 100% silk. The pictures have never been anything except representative of exactly what I’ve received. And of course, the price is nice for overall value.
That being said, if you are looking strictly to purchase these to give us gifts, be prepared to deal with having to iron them and putting them in your own packaging for the gift. I have attached a picture so that you can see how the latest ones I purchased were shipped. These in particular I did not purchase to wear, but if I had I would be in for some ironing (yes 100% silk can be ironed, but you have to be careful.) more importantly if I had purchased them to be a gift, as you can see from the picture, not only would I have had to iron them to get them looking nice again, I would also have had to repackage them.
I thought it was important to state that since it is a feature of the listing that the package it is shipped in is supposed to be able to be used as a gift package as well. So the five stars are for the product itself…
But the shipping is a disaster. The shipping envelope is pictured above the scarves, and as you can see the one that is still in the gift packaging was folded in half and stuffed inside that smaller shipping envelope. Then the black one that I purchased was simply crumpled up into a plastic bag – indicating it was probably a return & resell – and then that was shoved inside whatever space was left. Then the shipper sealed it up and sent it off. So this is a fault of Amazon, not of the seller or the manufacturer. If I were the seller, or especially the manufacturer, I’d be pissed off.
A pity, really. The silk is nice and they are priced very reasonably.

Very thin/transparent, and came with a small damaged section. It is just a few millimetres where I guess the fabric snagged during production, but it is disappointing in a new product. Might be suitable as a transparent veil, but is not appropriate for use if you need any kind of opacity (hair coverings, furoshiki gift wrapping, etc).
